Zimbabwe

The BRTI was registered in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1995 as a non-profit making organisation.  The mission of the BRTI is to promote the health and quality of life of the peoples of Africa through research & training in the field of biomedicine.

South Africa

The UKZN has a strong research ethos, especially in Infectious Diseases with several research institutes.  The Fractures E3 study is housed in the departments of Geriatrics and Rheumatology, in School of Clinical Medicine, College of Health Science situated in the Nelson R Mandela Medical School campus, Durban.

The Gambia

The MRC Unit at LSHTM is one  of two research units established in sub-Saharan Africa by the Medical Research Council UK and is the single largest investment in medical research in a low and middle income country.
